The September Social History Happy Hour will be held Saturday, September 16, at 7:00 PM. The lecture topic will be “The History of Forest Fire Lookouts of the Mt. Hood National Forest.” Museum curator Lloyd Musser will trace the advent of the fire lookout system and how it functioned successfully for many years before being phased out by modern technology. Many historic photographs will be shown in this program.
Doors open at 6:30 PM, $5.00 donation asked. Wine, beer, and sodas available.
