The Oregon Trail School District has earned a No. 11 ranking this year out of 206 Oregon K-12 districts and ESDs, according to School Digger.

Among districts with enrollment of more than 3,000 students, Oregon Trail ranked in the top five for 2023. The new No. 11 ranking means the district improved by five spots over last year.

The online platform SchoolDigger.com calculates school rankings based on test scores released by the Oregon Department of Education. These rankings were last updated on Sept. 22, 2023, and are based on the most recent test scores available.

Oregon Trail School District superintendent Aaron Bayer gave credit where credit is due in attributing the remarkable ranking.

"The high ranking is the result of the hard work of our teachers, classified staff, administrators and families, who believe that all of these children are capable of achieving more than what others may have thought possible,” Bayer said.

The district prides itself on the idea of providing an environment where all students can reach their potential.
